Statement of Faith
What We Believe
About the Scriptures
We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God and that men were moved by the Spirit of God to write the words of Scripture. His message is powerful and lasting - our standard for living.
About God
We believe in one God who exists in three distinct persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We believe that Jesus Christ became flesh to reveal God to humanity and to become the Savior of the lost world.
About Humanity
We believe that all people were created in the image of God to have fellowship with Him but became alienated from that relationship by sin. As a result people are incapable of regaining a right relationship with God through their own efforts.
About Salvation
We believe the blood of Jesus Christ, shed on the cross, provides the sole basis for forgiveness of sin. Therefore, God freely offers salvation to those who confess their belief in Jesus Christ and accept His grace through baptism.
About the Christian Life
We believe Christians should focus on living for God, loving each other and lighting the world. By obedience to the Word of God and daily yielding to the Spirit of God, every believer will mature and be conformed to the image of Christ, serving under His example.
About the Church
We believe the church is the body of Christ, of which Jesus Christ is the head. The members of the church are those who trust by faith in Christ. The purpose of the church is to glorify God by loving Him and making Him known to the lost world.
About Worship
We believe worship should be in spirit and truth. Worship is directed to God in adoration of Him as a direct response from a heart of gratitude. Our worship is simple and our singing is acapella. Our individual lives express our daily worship.

Church History
In 2018, the elders of the Southwest Church of Christ in Tigard, Oregon emerged from a season of prayer and fasting with a renewed vision for the church. One key element of their 5-year vision was a goal to begin "Meeting in Multiple Locations" after five years.
In fall of '22, a team was formed to begin researching different approaches and methods to meet that goal. After some time in prayer and surveying nearby communities, the team settled on the Hillsboro area to plant the new church.
In September '23, Jeff and Marie Sadler were asked to lead the church plant and Jeff was brought on staff at Southwest to complete a 9-month church planting residency with Passion for Planting.
After a full year of learning, planning, praying, and refining, the vision for Restore Church took shape and the core team was formed.
September 15th, 2024, marked the first house church gathering for Restore Church.
As 2024 comes to a close, we are beginning preparations to multiply our first house church. Starting in mid-January '25, we will begin meeting as two house churches with plans to immediately begin weekly Sunday Gatherings at a location in Hillsboro (TBD).
Please join us as we pray to grow God's kingdom in Hillsboro, Washington County, Oregon and around the world!
